Love that you thought to make this project a subject of your blog.

When I saw it, my creative wheels sprouted spikes, engine roared and I talked to some of the team I work with.

This is the great thing about peers and colleagues. We prod each other! Thank you Logan.

@ken- totally right there with you on the "celebrating an end" vs "kicking ass." Good call.

@Anja- it has been interesting how much sharing and processing of the event has happened all around. I've certainly learned a lot and had many facets revealed to me, so happy to try and continue that with others!

Cheers, LoganMB

I read your entry yesterday in the morning, after hearing and seeing already too much celebrating over the death of Osama bin Laden, and it just didn't feel right. I couldn't really put my thoughts into words, and I don't think I can today, but reading your thoughts made me feel really relieved, it somehow lifted a bit of that heaviness I had felt all day long on Monday - to know that not everyone felt that celebrating was the right way do cope with these news.
For me personally it was good to read something that was so balanced and human (in it's best means, while all the last weeks I more and more feel that "human" doesn't necessarily mean a good thing...).
Thanks for sharing!

I agree that there is a huge relief that we got Osama finally. And while I do understand the desire to celebrate to some extent, the gathering at the White House seemed all to victorious as if we just won the World Cup. My guess is that most adults, 30 on up, did not celebrate in the same fashion.

Sad that we and others turn to war to make things better. How strange is that?

As I write this, I remember the images of soldiers coming home from WWII and how much celebration there was. I wasn't born then, but I feel that it was more of a celebration that the war was over, and that we are now home with our families and friends, and not so much as if we really kicked their asses.
